Bagnalls Named Top Family Business Apprentice Employer for 2nd Year Running

Bagnalls is thrilled to have been named Family Business United’s Top Family Business Apprentice Employer in the UK for the second year running. We have a rich history of investing in people and supporting apprentices that spans almost 150 years. We take pride in furnishing the next generation of talent with the skills to succeed in their chosen field.
The Family Apprentice Employer report recognises family businesses, both large and small across the UK, for their work with apprentices and their decision to employ new talent, investing in their futures. The report has been compiled for the third year in a row to showcase the contribution of family businesses across various sectors throughout the UK.
It’s fantastic to hear some of the positive statistics from the report, highlighting other companies across the country that are as committed as we are to investing in the next generation.
Within family businesses, 127 apprentices had successfully completed their studies by June of this year, while more than 380 new trainees embarked on an apprenticeship in the 12 months leading up to June 2024. Plus, the top 20 businesses named in the report have more than 1,000 apprentices currently working for them.
Bagnalls went up against submissions from all over the UK to be named the overall Top Family Business Apprentice Employer. The report takes into account the number of apprentices currently in our employ, the number of apprentices who have successfully completed their course and the creation of new and ever-evolving apprenticeship schemes.
