Bowlee Community Centre, Middleton
19 December 2019
The centre is now used as a community hub and sports field and provides a much-needed facility for the people of Middleton. Bagnalls were asked by Riverside if we could help with the external renovation as a grand re-opening was just around the corner. The community hub’s vision is to offer a variety of workshops designed to help combat social isolation and engage some of the harder to reach youth and young adults in the local area.
Bagnalls, painted the front elevation of the building, internal walkways, fencing and handrails. The work was very much needed and has given the centre a new lease of life.
Bagnalls commitment to social value through its Community Paintbrush scheme has been widely acknowledged by Riverside. Together, we have delivered projects which have had long-standing benefits for the Riverside community.
Kate Alderson from Riverside, coordinated the redecorations and commented, “Knowing the outside of the Pavilion had not been refurbed, I thought it a shame for them to hold the event with a scruffy exterior and got in contact with Sam Bethell to see if we could finish what we started last October. With the help of Kenny and Co, the Pavilion now looks incredible!”
