Meet Max Antenbring: Trainee Contract Manager

Max is now over 18 months into his Trainee Contract Manager scheme with Bagnalls.

What first attracted you to Bagnalls?

Max: The job role on offer – that of a Contracts Manager – sounded really exciting! I was interested in the opportunities this role would provide me with, so I applied for the position.

What did you do before you worked for Bagnalls?

Max: I had recently finished studying at college and was working for Waitrose.

What is your favourite part of your job?

Max: The Bagnalls team! Everyone that works around me is extremely helpful. I also really enjoy the diversity of the tasks that I carry out on a daily basis.

What is your biggest achievement at Bagnalls?

Max: The safety qualifications I have achieved. I am happy to have completed the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) Managing Safely course and a Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS).

Do you have any advice for those considering a career in the painting and decorating industry?

Max: It’s a brilliant industry to get into as it’s always developing. There’s lots of opportunity to find what you like and it’s also an industry that is likely to always be around – everyone always needs painters and decorators to keep their businesses, homes and historic buildings looking great!

How do you feel about your management trainee scheme?

Max: I’ve really enjoyed my management trainee scheme so far. I feel as though I’ve come a long way within only 18 months. I have learnt a lot with the help of those around me, across multiple Bagnalls branches.
