At Bagnalls we have a wealth of experience in completing standard painting and decorating works in hospitals and healthcare environments across the UK, as well as specialist coating applications such as anti-microbial, hygienic, highly scrubbable, anti-bacterial and odour control systems.
We work for NHS trusts, private hospitals, GP practices and healthcare clinics on projects spanning from a few weeks to up to two years. Customers we have completed projects for have included Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Southmead Hospital, BUPA Care Services, Nuffield Health, Priory Group and HC-One.
Our trained and experienced staff are familiar with working in sensitive and sterile environments and around delicate and expensive medical equipment.
How we work
We knowledge our responsibility to safeguard the vulnerable, therefore all staff allocated to these projects will hold enhanced DBS clearance.
Our supply chain paint partners provide technical support in relation to colours, paint specifications and paint options to best suit each environment; whether it be creating a calming environment to aid recovery or an eye-catching display for a children’s ward, we can help healthcare customers choose the most appropriate coatings to provide a long lasting and hygienic finish.
We offer
We work with each healthcare customer on an individual basis to discuss the specific requirements of the facility being painted. Considerations include:
- Creating minimal disruption to the hospital staff, patients and the public
- Cordoning off work areas to create safe areas of work
- Protecting equipment or assets from damage
- Working flexible hours to suit the daily functioning of healthcare environments
- Ensure safe access and egress at all times
- Complying with any customer screening or testing protocol before allowing our staff on site, especially in relation to pandemic protocols.
- Wearing required PPE over and above that specified in our standard RAMS (Risk assessment and method statement)
Case Studies
For one off local projects, works will be undertaken by the local branch. However, for national refresh programmes and customers with a national portfolio, our Special Projects division will successfully manage and coordinate the works through a single point of contact.
