Warwickshire College is one of the UK’s largest general further and higher education colleges with more than 25,000 students. In the Summer of 2009 Bagnalls East Midlands Office were asked to provide a quote for the decoration of Prospero House, a hall of residence at their Leamington Spa campus. The work was completed as programmed during the summer holiday period and involved the redecoration of the external rendering and woodwork as well as the redecoration of several internal areas. As Prospero House is situated alongside a busy road Bagnalls advised Warwickshire College to use Johnstone’s Self-Cleaning Masonry Paint, a cost-effective solution designed to keep buildings “looking cleaner for longer and resist the dulling effects of pollution, weathering and time.” The high level external painting was carried out using a mobile elevated working platform operated by a trained Bagnalls operative.
When applied, Johnstone’s Stormshield Self-Cleaning Masonry attracts rather than repels water, “any dirt particles that may be present are therefore simply washed away by rain to leave a streak-free finish.”
Project Manager Cary Shephard stated: “he was very happy with the service and would use Bagnalls again in the future”.
