It’s National Apprenticeship Week!
To kick the week off, we talked with Max, one of our Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor apprentices.
“My name is Max Rollinson. I am a Level 4 Apprentice at Bagnalls working out of the York branch. When I first joined Bagnalls, I completed my level 3 NVQ Apprenticeship in Painting and Decorating at York College and now I am doing my Construction Site Supervisor Apprenticeship Level 4 along with a HNC in Construction and the Built Environment. Bagnalls is supporting me all the way through these apprenticeships – I really feel that as a company they are keen to invest in young people through the apprenticeship programme and provide opportunities as well as support to further each individual’s skills and help them progress within the business.
“I am really enjoying the courses I am doing – I get to learn more specific skills, especially on the technical side, which I can then bring into my working environment. The best part about the courses is that they are enjoyable as well as challenging. All the time my knowledge and skills are improving, but I also have time to ask questions and review what I have done and learn how things could have been done better or differently.
“I can recommend the apprenticeship approach to other young people as you get to earn money as you are learning. Every day is different and I am proud of what I have achieved so far.”
At Bagnalls, our award-winning Apprenticeship Programme is recognised throughout the Painting and Decorating sector as being industry-leading. As a member of The 5% Club, we are committed to recruiting and developing young people through the apprentice route for both trade skills and project management programmes.
Our apprenticeships are the perfect way to develop your skills whilst on the job. We will support you through your college and on-site training and development; find out more about an apprenticeship with Bagnalls today.
