Rail & Transport
At Bagnalls, we have the capability to work directly for transport networks including Network Rail, whom we have worked with for many years, as well as interfacing with Train Operating companies (TOC) and main contractors, including Avanti West Coast, South Western and Amco Giffen.
Working in the rail industry is often high risk, time-pressured and open to the public. Therefore to ensure we work safely and in line with rail industry guidelines we hold both RISQS Audit and Achilles LinkUp accreditations. We have a Rail Competence Management System and provide safe systems of work that are specific to the risks faced when working in a railway environment.
How we work
The painting and coating services we provide include but are not limited to:
- Station painting and redecoration works
- TOC rebranding and refresh painting programmes
- Platform lining
- Infrastructure painting to rail bridges
- Anti-graffiti coatings.
Our directly employed painting personnel are trained in both PTS (Personal Track Safety) and ICATS (Industrial Coatings Applicator Training Scheme) training, which ensures they have the safety awareness and technical competence to work on the rail network.
Our experienced project management teams can manage large and complex projects which may cover widespread geographical areas, multiple stations, bridges, depots or sites.
We offer
We can coordinate working under Network Rail during lineside, on or near the line conditions, under possessions, isolations or line blocks to safely carry out work on station canopies, bridges and platform edge lining.
We understand that closure of areas, lines etc require complex planning and there are financial penalties imposed on the rail operators should works overrun. Therefore, we work collaboratively with our customers to ensure projects are delivered on time, safely and to budget.
We ensure through safe systems of work and experience that commuters, rail staff and our own employees, get ‘Everyone home safe everyday’.
